Interdisciplinary Master’s Degree in the Study of Imagination The ”History of images – History of ideas” Master’s Degree Course is an interdisciplinary programme that offers insight into the morphology and syntax of cultural images, and focuses on fields such as comparative literature, philosophy, history of religions, social and political sciences, music, fine arts and film. It covers the following core disciplines:
The entry requirements consist of a combination of interview and presentation. As part of the interview, candidates will deliver: - A research project outline (preferably but not compulsorily related to the proposed Master’s dissertation) on a theme relating to image and imagination, three printed copies of which shall be handed upon submitting the application. The project is to include an Argument motivating the choice of the theme, a brief summary and a bibliography (3-4 pages in all). The proposed MA project will not reiterate the theme or content of the candidate’s BA thesis. The Master’s Degree course provides 12 subsidised openings and 15 non-subsidised openings The process of submission of applications and the interviewing of the candidates take place annually, between 1-15 September.
